Our eventual aim is to help Stewkley to become the first small community in the county to achieve Carbon Neutral status.
We aim to reduce Stewkley’s reliance on non-sustainable energy resources.
And to encourage the community to reduce, re-use and recycle items dependant on non sustainable resources.

To achieve our aims, we plan to calculate the Carbon footprint of homes in the village by taking a 20% sample. We will encourage everyone in Stewkley to reduce their energy usage primarily through greater insulation and efficiency. As new technologies become cost effective to reduce our Carbon footprint we will encourage people to adopt them.
